North Norfolk Railway Photos 2006.
2006 Steam Gala The Steam Gala 2006 realy was one of the best since the mid 90's, galas. A very intensive timetable expertly prepared by Mark Middleton as well as good running by the crews contributed to three very good days. and even if things were running late, steam trains were going past so often that it was difficult to care!

Wednesday 27th September A few 'odds and ends photos' The first Photo is from the Saturday of the forties weekend, with the rest of the Sunday. Whilst not strictly railways, i thought there might be some people who find the pictures of Cromer interesting, and i include these for that purpose
Saturday 16th September The NNR 40's weekend day one, with the WD and S160 running.. Whilst the weather could have been better, the running and perfomance by the crews was exceptional, so a massive thanks to them Also a surprise to see 0-6-0T 'King George' on loan from the EARM.. Will take a few more pictures tomorrow, and combine with a bit of 'work' at Weybourne.
Sunday 3rd September Rain stopped play as regards to going to the GCR, so decided to spend the afternoon of the sunday around Weybourne. WD and DMU in operation
Sunday 28th August Updates have been few and far between this summer as i have started volunteering on the NNR as a TTI. I did however manage to get across for a few hours this afternoon, and was greeted with the J15 and WD running. Updates will probably become fewer in the future due to volunteering, but there will be one next weekend from the GCR.
Sunday 6th August Went back to the NNR today for two reasons: one to see the new S160 no 5197 running, and secondly to 'run-in' my new camera, a Panosonic DMC-FZ7, and for a first day was very pleased with the results the Stalwart WD was also running.
Saturday 24th June Another Saturday... another visit, with the N7 and 31162 running. This is the first time i've taken photos of the N7 in its smart new livery Due to changes in personal circumstances i have been able to increase the amount of updates lately, which has lead me to start contemplating volunteering on the NNR.
Saturday 10th June With the Recent Fine weather, why not another trip before the WorldCup kick-off? Mainly focused on taking video, especially of the Class25, which i will upload shortly! Hopefully can catch the J15 running again before its holiday to Chinnor
Monday 29th May More Photos again today of the J15, WD and E77960 making regular runs inbetween service trains. Nice to see it back. Thanks (As always) to those who crewed the locos. Hopefully be some more photos over the week, from the Mid-Norfolk Railway and a new video archive
Sunday 28th May Finally Got my Web Hosting Problems Sorted out! I have uploaded photos both from today, and the 16th Of April (see Below) On the Other Railways Page, is a selection of photos from the East Anglian Steam Weekend a month ago! Anyway Back to today, and the J15 and WD running on a red timetable. Also a joy to finally see the railbus' running again . A more extensive visit sometime over half term week hopefully, as well as uploading some movie files from visits going back to the new year gala
Easter Sunday 16th March Couple More Photos.
Easter Saturday, 15th March Can't stay away can I? More today, with the J15 and WD running on a red timetable I cant get used to these engines in opposite directions its a nightmare! Still i suppose should be lucky just to have steam almost on the doorstep! First time i've seen 31207 hauling trains in her new livery, and must say she looks (almost) as splendid as the J15! As ever thanks to crews of both locos, who put on a fine show. Might be a couple of pics tomorrow, and i promise to get some more video uploaded! maybe on a new video page....

Thursday 13th March First trip of the holidays to the Railway and a welcome return to the Holt end of the line. Martello has now left the railway, leaving todays services to be operated by the DMU and J15. The J15 facing holt has opened up many new photo opportunities. What a shame the one shown below betwen Bridges 303 and 304 couldn't be used with more locos. Oh well! More over the weekend? Yes probably!
Saturday 11th March I must be insane... wind blows a hooligan, snow falls and i go taking steam pictures! With the increase in artic explorers these days im begining to wonder if maybe they should be forced to spend a day taking photos on a day like today to check the'yre hardy enough! Anyway Martello and the DMU. Probably no more Martello for me, but some video tomorrow (if i get round 2 it:P)
Sunday 5th March A cold but sunny day coincided with the 2nd day of the Martello specials. What a surprise, another update! The DMU worked the conventional 'Blue' timetable inbetween Martello, which can be seen every weekend until the end of the month. I have included two videos today, any comments on size/quality ratio appreciated. More in the next fortnight, then the GCR gala at end of month.
Thursday 16th Febuary The first sunny day in weeks seemed to coincide with a limited steam service at the NNR. keen for another bit of 'the drug' and to see what work the lineside clearance gang had done i had to go along and talking of that - guys (and girls), it is seriously fantastic! shots which haven't been possible for 5-6 years now are, can't wait to try a few this summer The N7 was running today on the Green Timetable
Sunday 1st January 2006 2006 Proper started today, with same locos in steam as yesterday. Martello ran all its services double headed with the N7, which certainly looked diffrent. No photos from me tomorrow.. norwich play preston, and sacrifices have to be made!
